Washington, D.C. —Today, Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04) announced a major infrastructure investment from the U.S. Department of Commerce into the city of Sheffield in Colbert County.
“The United States Department of Commerce informed me today that the Economic Development Administration will be investing $4,372,355 to improve the sewer infrastructure in Sheffield. My office and I worked with the city of Sheffield to help secure this investment, and I was glad to do so. These funds will grow the economy of Sheffield and help it to better withstand future severe weather events like flooding. As the ranking member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee which funds the U.S. Department of Commerce, I am particularly pleased to support this type of funding in Congress.”
